The Mercedes-Benz SL43 was never officially sold in Australia, which means JDM imports arrive with a Japanese OEM plinth that is not sized for Australian number plates. Australian-delivered SL43 owners face a different but equally frustrating problem: a large European plinth that leaves standard Australian plates looking lost and out of proportion on the front bar.
For the SL43 JDM import, our Miniature Plinth aligns directly to the Japanese mounting position using a built-in locator and two screws, making for a clean and straightforward install.
The result is a centred, secure, floating plate setup front and rear that removes the bulk of the OEM plinth and gives the SL43 the clean, refined finish it deserves.
