The factory number plate mounting setup on the Corvette C8 Z06 is oversized, curved, and not suited to Australian number plates. It forces plates to bend and disrupts the front end, especially when running premium or specialty plates.
Our miniature plinth system is designed to replace the factory mounting solution with a cleaner and more intentional setup. It is available in two configurations, depending on how you want to mount your plate.
The first option retains the factory backing panel. This version removes the bulky OEM box and replaces it with a smaller plinth that mounts using the original factory points. It offers a straightforward installation and is best suited to standard, slimline, or import plates where full coverage is preferred.
The second option is a grille mounted design. This version removes both the OEM plinth and the backing panel, replacing them with a compact plinth that clamps directly to the grille. It sits further back into the front end and is the most discreet solution, making it ideal for smaller or premium plates where a fully hidden mounting base is desired.
Both options form part of our two part mounting system. The plinth is vehicle specific, while the number plate bracket is selected to suit your plate style. This allows you to run Slimline, Standard, Heritage, Signature, and other formats while maintaining proper alignment and positioning.
The result is a clean, secure, and adjustable floating plate setup that removes the oversized factory mounting and complements the aggressive front end of the Corvette C8 Z06.
