Plate Covers
The two most popular number plate covers in Australia are Altrex and Kingpin. This video explains the differences to help you choose the right cover to suit your lifestyle.
Number plate covers, also referred to as license plate frames or holders, serve as protective and customizable accessories for vehicles. Constructed from plastic or metal, these frames encase a vehicle's license plate and offer a range of benefits. One advantage lies in their protective function, shielding the license plate from potential physical harm like scratches, dents, and weather-induced deterioration. By preserving the plate's pristine condition, they ensure legibility over time.
Moreover, these covers offer a means of personalization. Many options on the market enable drivers to impart a unique touch to their vehicles by featuring custom messages, slogans, or artistic patterns. This not only sets the vehicle apart but also lets the driver's individuality shine through.
In addition, certain number plate covers are designed as anti-theft measures. These models necessitate specialized tools or techniques for removal, thus deterring potential thieves from absconding with the license plate.
Beyond protection and personalization, these covers also guard against the accumulation of dirt and debris. Acting as a barrier, they prevent mud, grime, and other detritus from adhering to the license plate during travels.
Lastly, the convenience of installation is noteworthy. Most number plate covers boast easy fitting and require no specialized equipment or technical proficiency to affix to the vehicle. Consequently, they offer a simple yet effective means of safeguarding and enhancing the appearance of a vehicle's license plate.

Important Note About Number Plate Covers
Kingpin and Altrex number plate covers are known to occasionally have small factory blemishes, such as light scuffs or minor surface marks. This is completely normal for these brands and is consistent across all retailers.
We carefully check every cover before it leaves our warehouse to make sure you’re receiving the best possible item from the batch. Just keep in mind that even with replacements, similar minor marks can appear due to the way these covers are manufactured.
These blemishes don’t affect performance or clarity, and most customers find them unnoticeable once fitted. We just want you to have the right expectations so you can enjoy a smooth and confident install.
