Mounting a number plate on a C8 Corvette can be done cleanly and confidently with the right setup, despite the sharp lines and lack of a traditional flat mounting surface. In this video, we walk through how we install a number plate on the C8 using our dedicated plinth, alignment jig, and bracket system to get a clean and secure result without drilling the car.

We show the full process from surface preparation through to final fitment, including how the locating jig ensures correct placement the first time, how the plinth bonds to the car using tape and adhesion promoter, and how different brackets are used to suit various number plate styles.

This guide also covers how to set up brackets for slimline, signature, heritage, and taller plates such as US or Japanese sizes using spacers where required. You will see how the adjustable slot system allows precise positioning so the plate sits exactly where you want it.

    Looks great once installed. Super clean with numberplate cover. One very minor issue worth noting - I think my kit came with a pair of flat edge thread-cutting screws instead of the two pointed self-tapping screws as indicated in the manual. It made screwing the plinth delete plate quite a pain as I had to use a lot of force to catch the thread. Had to screw it in at an angle. All good once in. Could have been just my kit but perhaps worth checking the supplier has included the correct self tapping screws in this particular GR kit. Customer service was great.

I did an OEM plinth delete and slimline plate install on my Mustang and a slimline plate install on my Raptor, which by design deletes the Ford OEM plinth. The kit comes with everything required for a seamless install and has dramatically changed the appearance of my cars. Highly recommended.
